If it sucks then it doesn't matter what the router has, you get the lowest common speed. The WiiU doesn't have great WiFi either. There is a good chance you are just in an interference heavy area for 2.4 GHz and need to use 5 GHz or wired connections to get around that. The Sagecom supports 5 GHz if your devices can use it, the Netgear does not.
